Another superb team effort ensured Saxons earned a deserved point from their longest trip of the season on today (Jan 14)

With a bare 11 players, Sol Buckner's troops faced a tough 120 mile round trip for this Sussex Hockey Division Four fixture.
But they were first out the starting blocks and took the game straight to the hosts.
And it was wily campaigner Joe Woodford who opened the scoring on five minutes firing home from eight yards out after superb build up play.
However the hosts forced their way back and scored an equaliser five minutes later on the break.
Saxons had chances on the break to score again but couldn't find a way through a stubborn back line.
The hosts took advantage then and scored twice more on the break to make it 3-1 at half time.
But the second half was a different story.
Saxons pressed hard and held a high front line which kept Chichester penned into their own half.
Buckner's shot just missed the far post before he won a short corner in the 46th minute.
The in-form striker's firm shot struck a defender's foot and he calmly stepped up to dispatch the resulting penalty.
The goal triggered more belief in Saxons as they turned up the pressure sensing more goals.
And the chances were plentiful as the hosts struggled to get out of their own half.
Never wavering in belief, Buckner's men fought to the end and received their just reward in the 65th minute.
Russ Cole, playing his first game in more than two months, burst forward and fed Buckner whose deft touch from eight yards out slipped past the keeper to spark wild celebrations..
Jubilant Buckner said: "We were immense in the second half. With only 11 plays against a strong side we faced a real challenge.
"But we fought back and could have won it. I am really proud of the team and the way they fought for their shirt today. One of the best performances of the season without a doubt."
Saxons welcome Crawley IV to Horntye Park on Saturday, January 21 for a 3pm push-back.
