The men’s 4s and 5s played out a closely fought contest in Martlets Division 4 on Friday night at horntye.

Around 5 minutes in the 5s broke into an early lead through a counter attacking goal from Theo.

The 4s equalised with a poachers half volley from Dan chamberlain.

The 5s took the lead against the run of play with a direct strike from James Heathfield from a short corner.

The half ended 2-1 to the 5s.

Around 10 minutes into the second half Dom Whittaker scored the equaliser.

The 5s were under pressure for the rest of the game. Some great defence from Quentin, Ed, Ollie and Billy was frustrating the 4s But with 10 minutes to go young Freddy Gurney popped up to sink the winner for the 4s after a battle in the D.

The game finished Men’s 4s 3-2 Men’s 5s.
