At a chilly and windswept Beresford pitch and playing with a bare 11, Saxons made a solid start but couldn't find a way past the Eaglets back line.
Despite several short corners and the majority of possession, it was the hosts who opened the scoring in the 10th minute.
A quick break left a striker unmarked at the backpost to slot past keeper Fergus Bruce.
Saxons then piled on the pressure and were unlucky not to equalise when Ben Kemsley's shot smacked the cross bar during a goal mouth melee.
The Eaglets looked to catch Saxons on the break but couldn't find a way past Bruce in goal who pulled off a series of smart saves.
After the break Saxons re-organised and forced their way back into the game when Matt O'Brien finished off a trademark pass and move attack from close range on 40 minutes.
Phil Carrington's side then pressed on winning a series of short corners to keep the hosts on the back foot.
And Kemsley finally broke the deadlock on 48 minutes when he reverse-sticked a short corner high into the net.
However the hosts remained dangerous on the break and five minutes later equalised from a bullet of a short corner leaving Bruce no chance.
And they wrapped up the points in the 59th minute with another well-taken short corner leaving Saxons empty handed.
Saxons remain in fourth place with three games left to play. The top four teams will face a play off on April 9 to decide promotion.
