Report by Rob Whitehouse. Saxons consolidate 3rd place in the league with a huge win against a very young Penguins side.

As has become the norm Saxons started fast and opened the scoring when coach Rob Whitehouses original shot was saved and he slotted away the rebound.

A Julian buss pass from a well worked short corner found Whitehouse unmarked to fire home.

Shortly after a Paul Merison pass enabled Whitehouse to complete a quick fire hat trick.

Merison put his own finishing touch on a well worked team move before Whitehouse added his fourth with a flicked effort.
Saxons continued to press but gave the ball away and penguins took their chance to score past keeper Fergus Bruce.

Buss and Merison both added to their tally before halftime.

Man of the match Harry Dyas was causing all sorts of problems on the right and his pass found Buss who's thunderbolt crashed against the back board, Buss quickly added another for his hat trick .

More flowing Saxon moves saw Ben Kemsley add a well earned double, before Merison completed his first ever hockey hat trick!

Whitehouse had two more high quality finishes to take his tally to six. Buss rounded off the scoring in the last minute bringing his to five. A well deserved win and excellent team performance
