Saxons show they mean business

Saxons turned in their best performance so far to continue their remarkable start to the season. Saxons started strongly with Julian Buss and Phil Carrington running the midfield with Dan Bontoft marshalling the defence.

The home keeper made some decent saves before Sol Buckner finally opened his account for the season with a reverse stick bobbled effort that fooled the keeper.

A well practiced short corner routine saw a Coach Rob Whitehouse deflection for man of the match Harry Dyas to smash home.

The second half was all Saxons, Dyas caused havoc on the right to find Jo Woodford who had no mistake from a yard.

Buss weaved his way through the defence to find Whitehouse unmarked and he slotted home. A Merison short corner thunderbolt soon followed.

A lapse in concentration saw the home side scramble a goal back but the away side pressed for more and the Buss/Whitehouse had the same result, Whitehouse again tapping home.

A Bucker pullback from the baseline ensured Buss got on the scoresheet and wrapped up an excellent performance from the whole side.
