Saxons extended their incredible unbeaten start to the season with a convincing win against second place Eastbourne.

Under the instructions of Coach a Rob Whitehouse, the away side went search for quick goals and they don't get quicker than the first. Just 23 seconds into the game, man of the match Tom Waters intercepted a cross field ball to run into the 'D' to slot past a stunned keeper.

The dominate midfield of Peter Watters and Alex Bull were pulling the strings and slick passing move saw Waters denied and joe Woodford slam the rebound home. Captain Phil Carrington looked steady with Nigel kellett mopping up any home attacks.

The home side brought on a player from a higher team to try change the game but to no avail as Saxons marked him tightly. Eastbourne pulled a goal back as Saxons failed to clear their lines.

A stern team talk was given to concentrate and put the game to bed and from the off Saxons attacked with more urgency and third goal soon came. Bull picked up the ball on the '25', weaved passed three defenders and on the reverse stick flicked over the advancing keeper.
As the clock ticked down a well worked short corner saw Bull hit a rocket that went crashing into the backboard. Whitehouse has delighted with the win commenting " that's a massive win, to be nine points clear at this stage is huge".

Saxons could go 12 points clear tomorrow when they take on mid Sussex.
