Spirits started high for Saxons after their comeback in their recent game against Brighton.

The 3s were once again plagued with unavailability and injuries. Despite this Saxons initially started well applying pressure to Lewes.

Unfortunately a number of early scoring opportunities were missed. Lewes capitalised with a goal with Saxons spending much of the match chasing the game. Lewes again punishing Saxons by scoring on a break.

In the last few minutes of the game some great skill from Freddie Gurney turned the Lewes centre back inside out to win a penalty corner. Sadly, Saxons were again unable to convert.

The final score 0-2 to Lewes.

This weekend Saxons face Hailsham Mens 2's in an away fixture.
