Knowing it would be a tough game from the first whistle, Saxons came out all guns blazing and it wasn't long before they found themselves a goal up through Harry Reece.
George Eldridge then slotted home two short corners either side of setting up skipper Jamie Busbridge to put the home side 4-0 up.
Lewes pulled a couple back before half time as players started to tire but Saxons were very much dominating going into the half time break.
Lewes fought back and managed to go 5-4 ahead but an Eldridge through ball to Ollie Beal quickly levelled the scores. Alex Coombs then latched onto a Tudor Stainsby pass for an audacious spin and chip past the 'keeper.
Eldridge then completed his hat-trick as he ran through the Lewes defence to finish with a sublime reverse stick shot into the side netting. Coombs then coolly netted a second to put Saxons 8-6 up with less than 10 mins remaining.
Despite a defensive error leading to one further Lewes goal the Saxons defence held strong until the final whistle.
Paddy Cornish was immense at the back but narrowly missed out to George Eldridge for the Man of the Match vote.
Saxons will face Horsham Men's 1's, who currently play in 'South Premier 1', in the semi-final on the 7th January 2017. With a home advantage will they pull off another victory?
