The Bows played an older and far more experienced Horsham side on a hot afternoon.
For many of the Bows it was their first match ever, some had only held a stick a few times. The Horsham girls were very respectful of this and the match was played in great spirits from both sides.
The standout moment for me was when none of the Bows wanted to be subbed off after half time.
The final score was 7-0 to Horsham - it would have been a lot more without some fantastic keeping from Sarah. However, The Bows left with their heads held high having enjoyed the game.
Well done Amelia for great captaincy and a solid game
A very promising start to the season.
