Last season saw some excellent all round team performances. Looking at last years results our Ladies 1st team topped the internal club table with an excellent undefeated performance as champions of Sussex Ladies Division One. The team scored a massive 88 goals and conceded just 9. Last weekend saw them launch their 19/20 campaign in Sussex Premier with a 1-1 draw away to Lewes.

Hot on the heels of our Ladies 1st team were our Ladies 2's who finished 2018/19 runners up in Sussex Division 2 earning a promotion. This was the best league division two performance for our Ladies 2's in club history. They started their 19/20 season in Sussex Division One last Saturday with a superb home performance against Southwick 1st team deservedly winning the fixture 2-1.

In third place in the internal club table were our Mens 1st team who were outstanding in the Kent and Sussex Regional Division 2, finishing close to the top of the KS2 table to gain promotion to Kent and Sussex Regional Division 1. Our mens 1st XI start their 19/20 campaign this Saturday with an away fixture at Burnt Ash Hockey Club.

Deserving of a mention, and maybe the team to watch this season, our Men's 3's who had a superb first season in Sussex Open Division Two.

Finally we would not be where we are without the help of our dedicated members who keep the Saxons ship afloat. In particular the excellent work taking place with the growth and development of our youth development with the introduction of a Girls Development team for the 19/20 season. We look forward to the new season as some of our youngsters complete transition to our adult Men's and Ladies teams.
