AGE: 86
PERIOD PLAYING HOCKEY: 1960-1983
PERIOD PLAYING HOCKEY AT SOUTH SAXONS: 1965-1983
BEST MEMORIES:
Maureen Boulton commented that Ken very much enjoyed playing for South Saxons but at 86 some memories are difficult to recall [I am having difficulty remembering what happened in yesterdays game!]
Attending club dinners and meeting Ken’s fellow players and partners …any excuse to dress up.
WORST MEMORIES:
They have disappeared as well!
OTHER PLAYERS OF THE TIME:
John Mayo, Booth-Jones, Paul Stapley, David Jenner, Robin & Paul Gregory.
THOUGHTS ON MODERN GAME:
120 years going strong is a tremendous achievement and Ken and Maureen wish the club continuing success.
PLEASE PROVIDE ANY PICTURES THAT SUPPORT YOUR STORIES
Photos taken at a match to celebrate the opening of the new pavilion at Bulverhythe. Ken is second left in back row of the 2nd XI …what a handsome bunch!
You will also note how little padding the goalkeepers wore.
