Fortunately injuries at junior training sessions are very few and far between. However, one of our junior members unfortunately sustained an injury this weekend whilst wearing a mouthguard.

We remind parents annually in our junior newsletter that from the beginning of each season children should attend sessions with suitable protective equipment. In particular mouthguards should be checked regularly and replaced when showing signs of wear, or your child outgrows the fit. Please could we ask all parents to check and ensure their child attends training sessions with a fitted mouthguard and shin pads.

Mouthguards are available via your family dentist, or you can purchase a good quality self fit mouthguard from a reputable sports shop.
