All of the club games have been postponed to allow those that wish to attend but also so that the Club can have a respectful day of mourning and celebrate Sophie's life.

It was clearly evident that Sophie had a passion for hockey and South Saxons and she will be sorely missed by all our members.

An annual award will be established in her memory ‘The Sophie Ford Trophy for Young Player of the Year’ with the award criteria aligned to the attributes that Sophie brought to the club :
• enthusiasm for the sport
• team player
• skill
• determination
• club loyalty
