Sophie was a much loved and dedicated Saxons player who played in our Womens 1st XI, Summer Mixed XI, Womens Summer 6's and our Womens Le Touquet touring side. Club members are asked to wear a Saxons playing shirt (Home, Away or Tour Shirt) for the run. We will meet at Horntye at 10.00 a.m. on Sunday 11th February 2024 to run a 5km circular route starting and finishing at Horntye Park Sports Complex. The 5km will culminate with a charity bake sale in the bar at Horntye.

This event is organised in collaboration with Writtle University College where Sophie studied Veterinary Physiotherapy. Students at Writtle will be running their own 5km event on the 16th February.

The Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit making charity. Re-homing or providing permanent refuge for abused, abandoned and unwanted animals. They operate a non-destruction policy.

Both events are raising money in aid of The Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary and every donation will help.
