As we approach the start of the new season, we are pleased to announce that this year we will be running a Fantasy Hockey League for club members to take part in to raise money for South Saxons Hockey Club.
If you would like to take part in our own Fantasy Hockey League then it costs £10 and all you need to do is:

1. Go to the following website and set up an account: https://my.fantasymanager.co/join-club
2. Message James Douglas or Brock Presley-Vaughan on pitchero for the passcode to join the South Saxons Hockey Club league (note this code should already be in your personal messages on the pitchero app)
3. Choose 11 South Saxons Players to be in your Fantasy Hockey Team
4. Go to the South Saxons website (www.southsaxonshc.co.uk/payments) and purchase a “Fantasy Hockey” Ticket £10 entry.

Fantasy Hockey is just like Fantasy Football. Before the first game, you pick a squad of 11 players from South Saxons Hockey Club and you will score points based on how often those players play and whether they score goals or assist a goal in their weekly games.

Points are awarded to players for playing each week, having a clean sheet, scoring or assisting a goal or being the Player of the Match. You only choose 11 players and there are no substitutes or Captains in your Fantasy Teams. Furthermore, you can make unlimited transfers each week. We will be counting all league, cup and friendlies in the Fantasy Hockey.
At the end of the season, there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place (Prizes to be confirmed depending on number of participants).

The deadline for selecting your team is Friday, 30th August 2024 (as the first friendlies take place on Saturday, 31st August 2024).
