Saxons held firm as Worthing launched their first foray into the home sides half . An interception by Abhishek Binodh allowed Saxons to take control and push forward. A stunned Worthing defence could only look on as man of the match Tobias Farrow found the net for Saxons.
1-0 up Saxons looked strong, keeping the ball and controlling the game. The midfield and forward line worked well together, frequently testing the Worthing defence, causing Worthing to concede a number of penalty corners that Saxons were unable to convert.
The home crowd did not need to wait long for a second goal this time from Jonathan Orr who outwitted his marker to slot home.
Shell shocked Worthing tried to re group. A break away attack led to a one-on-one between their centre forward and keeper Mike Sutton who beat the player to the ball and cleared into safety.
The half time score was 2-0 to Saxons. A positive half time talk from Buss asked the team to deliver more of the same and put the game to bed.
Worthing started with renewed determination. Saxons again holding firm and controlling the game.
Saxons persistence again paid off with Farrow found Harry Dyas on the far post to slot past the stranded Worthing keeper.
The full time score 3-0 with a triumphant Saxons celebrating their place in the Semi-finals. Saxons will face higher grade Chichester who convincingly won their quarter final match against Lewes 5-0.
