South Saxons men's 1st team travelled to South London to face a bottom of the league New Beccehamians.
Neither team have secured their safety yet so it was an important game for both sides.
The start was delayed by 15 minutes due to one of the umpires being stuck in traffic. Both teams were raring to go once the first whistle finally blew.
The away side started the stronger and gained control of the match early on, with Andrew Acott, Jon Meredith and Paddy Cornish taking control in the midfield.
The first goal came to the inform Oli Beal, after picking the ball up with his back to goal and neatly popped the ball into the side netting from the reverse side.
Beal claimed the 2nd after hard work from the ever energetic Alex Coombs to open up the home sides defence for an easy finish for Beal.
Beal completed his hatrick shortly after the break when he and Acott teamed up to pass the ball around the helpless defence to make it 3-0.
Saxons were then caught by a well worked goal on the counter attack and homeside looked to form a comeback.
But Man of the Match Cornish stole the ball from Acott in the middle of the park before beating 2 players and smashing the ball into the far corner to restore a 3 goal cushion.
Acott was soon on the score sheet when he finished off a well worked attack down the right flank.
The home side got one consolation goal back but it was too late.
A very professional performance from all the players as they head to Crowborough for another important away trip.
