Saxons Ladies win 66 ème Tournoi de Pentecôte
Saxons Touring Ladies took on France International Ladies U40's in the final.
South Saxons Ladies visited TAC Le Touquet Hockey Club to take part in the 66th Whitsun Tournament.
Saxons ladies saw a return of some 'old team favourites' for the LeTouquet Touring squad.
Our ladies overcame the challenges of playing on grass and remained unbeaten throughout the three day tournament.
The final was played on the water based astroturf against the tournament favourites France International Ladies U40's. Notable final performances from keeper Keren Loader, Heather Klein, Raisa Rampersad and Kat Jenner saw Saxons dominate against the french side.
The star performance coming from striker Claire 'hair' Weddle who turned the french defence inside out to put four goals past the French side to win the final 4-0 and lift the ladies tournament trophy.
Congratulations to Heather and the team on the win. This is the first time that our Ladies have won this annual competition.
