Beat the Street is a real life walking, cycling and running game for a whole community, which runs from Wednesday 6 June – Wednesday 25 July 2018. The Beat the Street initiative is being delivered in East Sussex by Intelligent Health on behalf of NHS Hastings and Rother CCG, NHS Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford CCG and East Sussex Public Health.
Score points and win prizes by walking, cycling or running from point to point and tapping a registered Beat the Street card or fob on sensors (Beat Boxes) which are placed on lamp posts across East Sussex.
There are fantastic prizes on offer for individuals and teams! Teams are able to win prizes of up to £500 of vouchers for sports and fitness equipment on our six leaderboards for schools, community groups & businesses, and rural schools. Visit the leaderboard page for more information. Registered players are eligible to win a prize for a ‘Lucky Tap’ on a Beat Box; all you need to do is get tapping.
Collect a card from Horntye along with a map. Register your card on the Beat the Street website and join the team 'South Saxons Hockey Club' listed under the 'Community and Workplace section'. Collect points by tapping in at Beat Boxes around, Hastings, Bexhill, Hailsham, Eastbourne, Cuckoo Trail, Pevensey, Ticehurst, Battle, Northiam and Rye.
Visit the 'beat the street' website for further information. Lets see if we can earn a prize of sports equipment vouchers for the club.
